I was so blessed today to get so much accomplished for the upcoming Art on the Perquimans Art & Craft show! I have pulled together a few fall themed arrangements as well as some little novelty vintage items. Here are just a few to tempt you to come on down to the show! Saturday October 6th, 10am-4pm at the Perquimans Rec Center 310 Granby St, Hertford NC.
It's a new day in my life as I celebrate this past Friday night's opening reception for the Three Generation of Wynns Art Exhibit at the Perquimans Art League Gallery in Hertford NC. This was an exhibit showing works of my mother, Margi Wynn who has been doing watercolor for many years, Brady Armstrong my 11 year old nephew, who really excels in mixed media collage and my Vintage Art Assemblages and collages.
It was a lovely fall evening with many patrons stopping by to view the art, have some refreshments and visit. Most importantly I sold three works in the span of two hours. This is the shot in the arm that I needed to get me going with this new career that has attempted to get off the ground several times. Many thanks to all my friends who encouraged me and prayed for me over the last few weeks as I finished up work for this exhibit. They installed 17 of my pieces and It was such a rush walking into the room and seeing all of our work displayed together. And extra special thanks to Beckie Webster and Nancy Garret for making the two hour drive down Friday night to surprise me with their support!
It was really a special night for Brady who showed several of his friends his work, as well as took the hand of many patrons and escorted them in to see his art. He greeted everyone with a smile and made them feel right at home!
