You just got to love this guy's sense of humor! What better way to prepare for a storm than buy art? I headed out in the beginnings of the storm for groceries (okay - comfort food - you gotta have that during a storm- right?) And I happened to catch this sign as I turned onto Pacific Ave. I put my iPhone at risk just to roll the window down with gale force winds sending buckets of water into the car - but I had to get a shot of this sign! You can never have enough art, right? In the midst of the wind howling outside (yes, stiill!) and Gracie running under my legs every so often to hide from the noises outside, I am working on new ideas for upcoming art projects. It amazes me how much my mind gets into an idea and I can't wait to get a sketch on paper and try out a new technique, or just start experimenting with things to see where it takes me. Funny how the excitement of a storm gets my creative juices flowing! I guess my motto is "Prepare for Storms...Stock up on some creative ideas! .......Stay tuned!
I want this blog to be about art - but life gets in the way a little doesn't it? It's been two weeks, since we said goodbye to Little Totsy. She was my faithful companion for 15 years, and she is terribly missed! Gracie has been moping around the house, and I do ok until I see her going up the stairs looking for her little friend and then I have a moment of sadness. Totsy had such a good life and many adventures. She had a cute little waddle due to her rather large bottom. This made her teeter-totter a bit and that is how she got her name. She was a terribly inquisitive little dog and was constantly getting into things - bags of groceries I sat down on the floor for a ,moment, a guest's purse, even a tin of fudge and cookies last Christmas! She was 15 years old, mostly deaf, partially blind, but she even got into an extra bag of dog food the day she died. She was the constant naughty child who got sent to the corner quite often but always made me laugh! We will miss you dear little one and Gracie and I know we will see you again in Heaven!
